POSITION SUMMARY
To operate a safe, efficient and customer focused fuel delivery service.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A. JOB DUTIEIES
Staff Management/Training: Assist with hiring, training, evaluate and retain qualified staff that can exhibit customer service abilities naturally. Responsible for drivers and terminal fleetManage Dispatching of drivers across multiple delivery types.
- Assist Transportation General Manager with hiring and up training process for drivers.
- Maintain a schedule for renewals of certificates, security passes and licenses.
- Maintain a general rapport with drivers and constantly assess and communicate their level of satisfaction to the transportation general manager.
- Participate in monthly meetings with a focus on Safety, customer service skills, Product knowledge and operational issues with a focus on "continual improvement" of our employees and our operations.
- Ability to both deliver across all equipment types and thereby train delivery types to drivers.
- Perform initial and annual ride along trainings and sign offs as required.
- support customers by delivering product when necessary.
Vehicle Safety/ Presentation: Maintain vehicles to appropriate standards that present a strong
Corporate Image and properly document all maintenance
- Working with shop team and third party vendors to assist with all regulatory required inspections and certifications of our fleet.
- Take out of service any equipment that is potentially unsafe or does not meet regulatory standards, inform Transportation General Manager and schedule appropriate repair.
Plant Safety/ Presentation: Assist in overseeing housekeeping of the warehouse, office and building exterior are maintained to an appropriate standard.
- Assign tasks to staff that keep the facility and grounds looking clean and organized.
- Make recommendations for new purchases and improvements to bring the image of the plant to the expected Corporate Image.
Dispatch/Office: must be able to work with Microsoft teams and other office programs, Samsara Fleet, Flyntlok.
- Document the dispatch procedures for the drivers, dispatcher and others. Assure that all drivers and dispatchers understand and comply with the dispatch procedures.
- Support the process of verifying the credit status of customers before fuel delivery.
- Measure the effectiveness of the dispatch process by at least recording the weekly:
- Number of complaints, call backs, and run outs.
Inventory: Reconcile all orders with the Dispatch Master list.
- Tally and reconcile the daily driver logs.
- Ensure completeness of driver logs and daily paperwork submission.

D. ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: High School.
- Experience: Basic computer skills, 3 years experience delivering bulk fuels in Linehaul division. Must be a good communicator with the ability to multi-task, proven high level of customer service and management of personnel.
- Licensure/Certification: CDL with Hazmat and Doubles, triples endorsement/TWIC required.
- Other Qualifications: Must be able to work cooperatively with others and communicate in writing and verbally effectively with others. Must be able to present themselves as an example of Shoreside Petroleum's quality, professionalism and Corporate Image.
- Attendance: Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
- English Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
