About Us:
Welcome to Advance Plumbing & Heating Supply Company, a fourth-generation family owned and operated business, started in 1920. The company's original location was at 2984 Grand River Ave. in Detroit, across from the Motor City Casino. On October 31st, 2016 we moved to our new location at 150 Parsons St. in Midtown Detroit. The new state-of-the-art location features the City of Detroit's first ever Decorative Plumbing Showroom which opened in winter of 2018.
In 1990, with a solid reputation for excellence and an expanding market, Advance opened up a second location in Walled Lake, Michigan which features a state-of-the-art 5,000-square foot decorative plumbing showroom and an outstanding plumbing & heating parts counter.


What You’ll Do:

On our eCommerce team, as a Digital Merchandising & eCommerce Specialist, you will be responsible for understanding and maximizing our business on our B2C website and other third-party marketplaces including but not limited to Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.


Some Duties May Include:

  • Document and understand vendor policies and programs to remain complaint and take advantage of all opportunities
  • Ensure product information, images, and descriptions are accurate, SEO-friendly, and compliant with platform guidelines.
  • Work with the rest of the web team to grow sales by creating and executing merchandising plans to optimize our product offerings while balancing competitiveness and profitability
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create, implement, and analyze advertising, promotional campaigns, and seasonal events
  • Analyze and report on project KPIs
  • Create and maintain all product uploads and listings
  • Develop strategies for product bundling, cross-sells, and upsells to increase average order value

What You Need to Get the Job Done:

  • Advance excel skills (Power Query, Power BI, VBA, etc)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple software applications with speed and accuracy
  • Must be detail oriented and organized
  • Experience with Shopify, Amazon, eBay, or Infor Cloudsuite Distribution is a plus
