Bring a clear point of view on site performance and user experience opportunities, and collaborate closely to align priorities with brand goals, promotional calendars, and overall DTC growth objectives while maintaining strong ownership of day-to-day execution and continuous improvement.

Advanced Shopify Development & AI-Accelerated Execution
  • Lead advanced Liquid theme development, custom sections/blocks, JSON templates, and complex customizations across multiple storefronts.
  • Daily and effectively leverage AI coding and design tools (Claude, Cursor-style assistants, and similar) to generate, edit, test, and QA code at high velocity while maintaining production-grade quality and performance.
  • Convert concepts and prototypes into fully functional, production-ready Shopify Liquid code, including add-to-cart functionality, checkout flows, and integrations.
  • Maintain clean version control (GitHub), documentation, and playbooks to support scalability and knowledge continuity.
Site Experience, Performance & Optimization
  • Continuously improve navigation, on-site search, PDP layouts, collection pages, and checkout flows to increase conversion rate (CVR), average order value (AOV), and overall customer experience.
  • Own site speed and Core Web Vitals performance on both desktop and mobile - monitoring, diagnosing, and shipping optimizations that protect and improve the customer experience.
  • Maintain and evolve accessibility standards and privacy compliance across all sites, ensuring ongoing adherence to ADA and privacy requirements.
  • Partner with Marketing, Creative, and brand teams on timely execution of campaigns, landing pages, and promotional experiences.
Data, Testing & Iteration
  • Use analytics and customer behavior data (Triple Whale, GA4, Hotjar, etc.) to identify friction points and prioritize high-impact improvements.
  • Build and execute test-and-learn roadmaps (A/B testing and UX experiments) that drive measurable gains.
  • Monitor and report on key site health metrics with clear recommendations.
In-House Builder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the main in-house technical owner for the ecommerce sites, driving execution while working collaboratively with brand teams, marketing, and leadership.
  • Champion continuous learning in AI tooling, Shopify best practices, and ecommerce UX.
Business Outcomes
  • Conversion Rate (CVR), Average Order Value (AOV), and contribution to DTC revenue goals
Site Performance
  • Core Web Vitals (mobile + desktop performance), bounce/exit rates, and on-site search effectiveness
Micro-Conversions
  • Homepage engagement rate, Collection page to PDP rate, Add-to-Cart rate, View Cart to Begin Checkout rate, and Checkout start to completion rate
Compliance & Quality
  • Privacy and ADA compliance, return rate trends, and quality/velocity of shipped improvements
Qualifications Must-Have
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and optimizing production Shopify Plus storefronts, with strong proficiency in advanced Liquid templating, theme architecture, custom sections/blocks, and complex customizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use modern AI coding and design tools (Claude, Cursor-style assistants, or equivalent) to increase speed and quality in the development process.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce UX, conversion optimization, and performance best practices for DTC Ecommerce.
  • Experience working with analytics platforms (GA4, Triple Whale or similar) to inform prioritization and measure impact.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate technical trade-offs and bring a clear point of view while collaborating effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning outcomes across multiple brands and concurrent workstreams.
