Email & SMS Marketing Specialist

Location: Hybrid — Baltimore, MD (1–2 days/week in office)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

JEDCo Brands is a Baltimore-based apparel company specializing in artist-designed apparel and accessories across a portfolio of major licensed brands, including Jeep, Ford, RAM, Chevy, Busch Light, Coors, Budweiser, Yuengling, Realtree, and more, along with our own in-house brands.

We are seeking an Email & SMS Marketing Specialist to manage the strategy, execution, and performance of our lifecycle and retention marketing programs across email and SMS channels. This role will support both direct-to-consumer (DTC) and wholesale marketing initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a creative and analytical marketer who can design engaging campaigns while leveraging data to optimize performance. This individual should be detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced e-commerce environment, and experienced with platforms such as Klaviyo and Shopify.

Key ResponsibilitiesEmail & SMS Campaign Management
  • Build, schedule, test, and deploy email and SMS campaigns using Klaviyo (required); Salesforce Marketing experience is a plus.

  • Develop and manage campaigns, automated flows, customer journeys, and triggered programs.

  • Translate marketing goals into segmentation strategies, automation workflows, and dynamic content.

  • Design visually engaging email assets using tools such as Photoshop, Canva, Figma, or similar platforms.

  • Write, edit, and proofread SMS and email content to align with brand voice and maximize engagement.

  • Organize and maintain digital assets within Klaviyo and related marketing platforms.

  • Support Shopify-related campaign tasks, including promotional codes, landing pages, and other marketing initiatives.

Lifecycle Marketing & Optimization
  • Develop strategies to improve customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.

  • Identify opportunities for personalization, dynamic content, and behavioral targeting.

  • Execute segmentation, A/B testing, multivariate testing, and triggered campaigns.

  • Support initiatives focused on list growth, loyalty programs, and customer personalization.

Quality Assurance & Best Practices
  • Perform quality checks on all email and SMS campaigns across desktop and mobile devices before deployment.

  • Review and maintain automated flows to ensure accuracy, functionality, and updated creative content.

  • Maintain email deliverability, accessibility, and platform best practices.

Reporting & Analytics
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including:

    • Open rates

    • Click-through rates (CTR)

    • Conversion rates

    • Unsubscribe rates

    • Revenue generated

    • Revenue per recipient (RPM)

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on campaign performance data.

  • Use analytics to improve future campaigns and marketing strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Market Research
  • Collaborate with marketing and other teams to plan email and SMS campaigns across DTC and wholesale calendars.

  • Monitor competitor email, SMS, automation, and loyalty strategies to identify opportunities and trends.

  • Stay current with lifecycle marketing best practices and emerging technologies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in email marketing, SMS marketing, lifecycle marketing, retention marketing, or CRM marketing.

  • Experience managing email campaigns in Klaviyo with measurable performance results required.

  • Klaviyo certification is a plus.

  • Strong design skills and experience using Photoshop or similar design tools.

  • Experience with Shopify and e-commerce customer journeys.

  • Apparel, retail, or lifestyle brand experience is preferred but not required.
