What You'll Do

As Director of e-Commerce, you'll own the strategy, performance, and continuous optimization of KURU's digital storefront. You'll partner closely with our Technical e-Commerce Manager, marketing team, and executive leadership to create an exceptional customer experience while maximizing online revenue.

Drive On-Site Revenue
  • Own key performance metrics including conversion rate (CVR), revenue per visitor, and average order value (AOV)
  • Lead ongoing conversion rate optimization (CRO) through A/B testing, multivariate testing, analysis, and experimentation
  • Optimize the customer journey across the homepage, product detail pages (PDPs), collection pages (PLPs), and landing pages
  • Develop merchandising strategies that increase basket size through product recommendations, cross-sells, upsells, bundles, and product sequencing
  • Use customer behavior, analytics, and session data to identify opportunities for growth
Lead the e-Commerce Experience
  • Partner with the Technical e-Commerce Manager to maximize the performance of our Shopify Plus platform
  • Help establish priorities for development projects and technical initiatives
  • Champion a "buy before build" philosophy by evaluating best-in-class apps and technology solutions
  • Ensure site performance meets expectations for speed, reliability, and user experience
  • Continuously evaluate new e-commerce technologies that improve customer experience and commercial performance
Analytics & Business Growth
  • Own e-commerce reporting and performance dashboards
  • Present actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Deliver weekly reporting focused on trends, opportunities, and measurable outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with Performance Marketing to improve attribution, customer acquisition, and overall channel performance
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 2 years in a leadership role supporting a direct-to-consumer (DTC) brand
  • Extensive experience managing Shopify or Shopify Plus environments
  • Proven success improving conversion rates and driving online revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO), customer experience, and digital merchandising
  • Experience managing development teams or technical vendors
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using GA4, Excel or Google Sheets, and testing platforms
  • Ability to translate data into strategic business decisions
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization and project management abilities
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
