Job description

What we Offer

A competitive salary, affordable health benefits, company sponsored life insurance, wellness initiatives, retirement savings with company match, paid time off, career growth opportunities and a flexible/hybrid work environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Lead UI/UX Designer to own and elevate the digital brand experience and lead web design projects on Truniagen.com, Niagenplus.com, Niagenbioscience.com and Pro.truniagen.com and other Niagen Bioscience web properties. This role will serve as a key design partner to the marketing team and other key teams within the company. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in DTC e-commerce, understands how design impacts conversion and retention, and can balance user experience, visual storytelling, brand consistency, and business performance.

This is not a purely wireframe-focused role. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, design beautifully, and execute with precision. The right person will understand how to create intuitive user journeys, premium digital experiences, and conversion-focused design that supports product education, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

Core Expectations
  • Own the Digital Experience End-to-End: Lead the full UX/UI process across all Niagen Bioscience web properties, from research and journey mapping through high-fidelity design, developer specs, QA, and post-launch iteration.
  • Optimize the User Journey: Analyze customer behavior to design frictionless, intuitive pathways across the site, focusing on product discovery, education, checkout flow, and subscription management.
  • Lead a CRO Program: Plan, design, and prioritize A/B tests across landing pages and key funnel steps. Analyze results across cohorts and turn learnings into a recurring optimization roadmap.
  • Elevate Brand Experience: Translate the Tru Niagen brand identity into a premium, cohesive digital experience. Ensure all web touchpoints visually communicate trust, science, and quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with e-commerce, growth marketing, and development teams to ensure designs are technically feasible, aligned with business goals, and optimized for conversion rate (CRO).
  • Graphic & Visual Design: Leverage your graphic design talents to create compelling digital assets, iconography, and visual elements that enhance the overall website aesthetic.
  • Collaborate with Creative to Produce Visual Assets: Working closely with the creative team to create digital assets, iconography, illustrations, and visual elements directly for the website.
  • Deep Knowledge with Shopify or Equivalent Ecommerce Platform: Design with a deep working knowledge of Shopify's architecture, theme system, and constraints. You should know what's achievable in-theme versus what requires custom development, and you should be comfortable making that tradeoff call.
Qualifications and Success Factors
  • 5+ years of dedicated UI/UX design experience, with at least 2 years leading design at a DTC e-commerce or consumer brand.
  • Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field is a plus.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of e-commerce user journeys, alongside exceptional visual/UI design skills required.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • A user-centric thinker who balances creative vision with data-driven insights and e-commerce best practices.
  • Preferred: Strong graphic design talent is a huge plus. We are looking for someone who can actively contribute to the visual storytelling of the brand, not just the layout.
Competencies & Skills
  • Project Management & Prioritization: Proven ability to juggle multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality or deadlines.
  • E-commerce Expertise & Curiosity: Deep, functional knowledge of current DTC best practices, paired with an insatiable eagerness to continuously learn and adopt the latest and greatest trends in the e-commerce landscape.
  • Journey-Based Testing & Optimization: Deep understanding of landing page optimization and A/B testing methodologies, with the ability to tailor experiments and analyze results across different customer cohorts and distinct user journeys.
  • Technical Fluency: Strong technical understanding of front-end capabilities and constraints. You must be able to "speak developer" to effectively translate UX/UI designs into reality and ensure a seamless handoff to the engineering team.

$130,000 - $165,000 a year
