Ecommerce Specialist

Role Overview

The Ecommerce Specialist will manage and optimize the Epicurean DTC experience on Shopify. This role is responsible for catalog operations, integrations, site performance, and content execution. You will collaborate across digital, marketing, operations, and CX to ensure the site is accurate, high performing, conversion oriented, and fully aligned with growth initiatives.


This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, detail-forward environment and enjoys owning the mechanics and quality of a top-tier Shopify store.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Store Operations

  • Manage the full product catalog, including creation, updates, categorization, translations, and asset management.
  • Maintain and optimize pricing, promotions, and inventory rules.
  • Support expansion store setup and maintenance for international markets.
  • Oversee app and integration landscape, ensuring stability, accuracy, and performance.
  • Coordinate with operations on stock levels, fulfillment flags, backorders, and discontinuations.

Site Performance and Optimization

  • Monitor and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, FCP, CLS), page speed, and site accessibility.
  • Partner with developers and agencies to troubleshoot issues and enhance site functionality.
  • Implement CRO best practices using analytics, heatmaps, and user behavior insights.

SEO and Content

  • Maintain SEO health using tools like SEMRush, Search Console, and Screaming Frog.
  • Build and update on-site content including landing pages, product descriptions, and category copy.
  • Ensure content follows brand guidelines, SEO best practices, and internationalization needs.
  • Support structured data updates to improve crawlability and ranking.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Manage GA4 and Google Tag Manager tagging, tracking, and event configuration.
  • Partner with digital teams to monitor KPIs such as CVR, AOV, traffic, and channel performance.
  • Support Google Ads and Meta Ads integrations as needed.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations based on data and user behavior.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with the digital commerce team to support merchandising, promotions, and product launches.
  • Coordinate with marketing on campaigns, landing pages, and channel readiness.
  • Support customer service teams with site-related issue resolution.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience managing DTC ecommerce for consumer brands, including multi-brand or multi-storefront environments
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise ecommerce platforms and working knowledge of Shopify and its app ecosystem
  • Understanding of ecommerce operations, including order management, fraud prevention, fulfillment, order tracking, and post-purchase experience tools (e.g., Narvar)
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with marketing, operations, IT, and customer experience
  • Proficiency with ecommerce analytics and testing tools
  • Exposure to international ecommerce, including localization, currencies, taxes, duties, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, supported by strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
