We are looking for a dynamic Shopify & Systems Specialist to join our team and support our e-commerce platform and IT operations across multiple locations.
Job Description:We are seeking an enthusiastic, tech-savvy Shopify & Systems Specialist who is excited to learn and grow within our organization. This role blends hands-on Shopify development and administration with company-wide IT support. You'll own our Shopify storefront and POS ecosystem - customizing themes, building automations, managing multi-location setups - while also serving as a go-to technical resource for staff across our stores. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable moving between code, commerce, customer-facing support, AI, and providing support in other areas of the business as required. We're looking for someone entrepreneurial who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and dig into whatever the day throws at them
Responsibilities:
Shopify & E-Commerce
  • Customize Shopify themes: edit front-end elements, update banners, add/remove blocks, manage menus.
  • Customize collection, product, checkout, cart, and shop pages using Liquid and Python.
  • Build and maintain products and collections, including metafields, tags, descriptions, and vendor data.
  • Design and maintain email templates for special events and campaigns.
  • Build and manage Shopify Flow workflows to trigger automated actions based on business requirements.
  • Write Shopify scripts to automate recurring workflows.
  • for NWSL games and warehouse events.
  • Set up and customize Shopify POS devices and card readers for various events, on and off-site, including POS smart grids to match event and location requirements.
  • Manage multiple Shopify locations, including validating accurate taxation and inventory transfer between locations.
  • Integrate with third-party APIs as needed.

IT & Technical Support
  • Provide in-person and remote technical support company-wide, including hardware (computers, monitors, printers, scanners) and Team Portal support for internal employees and external customers.
  • Set up and configure devices including iPhones, iPads, and laptops.
  • Provide first-level support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, network, and systems troubleshooting.
  • Respond to support requests via phone, email, and in-person, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based services.
  • Document support activities, solutions, and IT processes.
  • Use AI tools to speed up Shopify development, automate routine support tasks, and troubleshoot issues more efficiently.

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Soccer Post and external clients on Shopify-related needs.
  • Collaborate across departments to implement new technologies and process improvements.
  • Proactively suggest new ideas and process improvements to get things done
  • Coordinate work and communication using Slack and Jira.
  • Conduct basic training for staff on IT and Shopify tools and best practices.
  • Assist with special IT and e-commerce projects as needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, and e-commerce/Shopify role.
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify, including theme customization and Liquid coding.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and hardware.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - comfortable rolling up your sleeves, proposing new ideas, and taking on tasks at any level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work directly with external clients.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing environments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python and/or basic scripting/programming.
  • Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3) and RESTful APIs.
