Your role at Impact.com:

We are seeking a talented Gen AI engineer with a passion for creating and maintaining AI agents and generative features in our applications.  You will focus on creating, testing and maintaining prompts; monitoring answer quality; adding content to search indexes to facilitate retrieval augmented generation (RAG); and integrating with new APIs to enhance the agent's capabilities.

Your work will enable our client users to work more efficiently and promote more relationships being created and becoming successful and better performing in our partnerships marketplace.

What You'll Do:
  • Leverage Google Cloud's Vertex AI products to maintain and enhance our "Copilot" agent feature.
  • Enhance the capabilities of the agent by integrating with additional Impact or external APIs (via function calling / actions).
  • Enhance the agent's analytics capabilities with new integrations exposing additional data sets.
  • Enhance the knowledge of the agent by adding more context to its search index.
  • Create tools and processes for monitoring, and then monitor the agent's answers' quality and correctness.
  • Leverage reinforcement learning (RLHF), adapter tuning or other methods to further tune the model beyond leveraging prompts, examples, and context.
  • Evaluate using new LLMs with the agent as they become available.
  • Work with the squad's full stack engineer to expose new features in the user interface, and deploy the agent or point content generation capabilities throughout our apps.
  • Work closely with product managers to identify new features and enhancements, estimate level of effort, prototype, implement and deploy.
  • Interface with our Google solutions team to clarify gaps in documentation, report bugs or unexpected behavior, submit feature requests, or get help when evaluating a product or feature.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and continuously explore new techniques and technologies to enhance our product offerings.
What You'll Have:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Understanding of LLM/GPT concepts
  • Proficiency in prompt engineering.
  • Proficiency with Python
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and/or sql query writing.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks/libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache MLlib, or Scikit-learn is a plus.
  • Experience working in Google's (GCP) environment is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Javascript/Typescript or Java/Scala is a plus.
  • Experience in and understanding of marketing/advertising industry is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new skills and technologies, and to adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
  • Experience: At least 1 year working in Generative AI, or extensive and demonstrable personal projects (be prepared to show in Kaggle, Github, OpenAI, etc; to demo and describe in detail, answer questions and defend critiques)
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.
