We are comma.ai. We're building the Android of self-driving cars and already operate the second-largest fleet after Tesla. We own our stack, from training state-of-the-art machine learning models on our own infrastructure, to building the operating system, designing the hardware, and manufacturing it.

We don't care where, or even if, you went to school. We don't care if you have a traditional background. We're looking for people who can independently contribute to keeping comma's daily operations running smoothly. A building leak? You're on it. Comma cars need maintenance? You're on it. We need to figure out the logistics of getting a large machine into the office; you're on it. Looking for someone who thrives in a fastโ€paced environment and enjoys building workflows that make work simpler and more efficient. Must be practical and able to problem-solve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance: support bookkeeping, payments, and basic tax readiness
  • Logistics: manage shipping, insurance claims for tinyboxes, and fleet maintenance
  • People operations: coordinate employee onboarding, offboarding, and team events
  • Projects: one-off operational projects like events, vendor sourcing, process improvement

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations, business/facilities/office management
  • Comfortable with basic finance concepts (expenses, invoices, simple budgets) and willing to learn more as needed.
  • Bonus if you have Shopify experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problemโ€solving abilities
  • Ability to selfโ€motivate, prioritize, and work independently in a small, fastโ€moving team.

Benefits

  • $80,000โ€“$120,000 salary based on experience
  • Stock options
  • Health/Dental/Vision
  • Office gym and workout classes
  • Chefโ€prepared lunch and dinner
