Job description

Organic Department Manager (SEO & GEO)
We're looking for an experienced digital marketing leader to own and evolve our organic marketing department. You'll own the team's output, from strategy and performance to team development and operational excellence.
The Role
This isn't just a management role. You'll be responsible for shaping how organic marketing works at DOM, including GEO, SEO, CRO, and related services, and ensuring our clients see meaningful, measurable growth.
That means:
  • Setting direction, not just managing tasks
  • Improving systems, not just maintaining them
  • Developing people, not just overseeing them

You'll work primarily internally with your team, while also working day-to-day on a few key client accounts.
What You'll Own
Lead the organic marketing function
  • Own the performance, direction, and evolution of DOM's organic services (SEO, GEO, CRO, email)
  • Ensure our work drives real business outcomes and not just rankings or traffic
  • Stay ahead of industry changes (including AI-driven search) and translate them into action

Build and improve systems
  • Develop and refine processes and workflows that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Identify gaps in execution, tools, or capabilities and proactively implement solutions
  • Lead initiatives that strengthen service offerings and elevate team performance

Drive client success
  • Oversee performance across client accounts and proactively review strategy
  • Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions
  • Ensure clear, consistent communication of results and insights across teams

Lead and develop the team
  • Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 5-10 organic marketing specialists
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and curiosity
  • Provide clear feedback, coaching, and development opportunities
  • Ensure work meets high standards through quality assurance and process adherence

What Success Looks Like
  • The organic department consistently delivers strong, measurable results
  • Processes are efficient, scalable, and continuously improving
  • Team members are growing, engaged, and performing at a high level
  • Clients trust the strategy and direction of our work

Who You Are
You're an experienced digital marketing leader who's ready to take ownership of a function.
  • 5+ years of hands-on SEO or similar digital marketing experience across a variety of industries and goals
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing a team
  • Strong expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, and performance analysis
  • Deep understanding of how SEO connects to broader business outcomes
  • Experience with platforms like WordPress, HubSpot, Shopify, and tools like GA4, GSC, SEMrush

You're also:
  • Highly accountable: you take ownership of outcomes
  • Driven: you take initiative, push things forward, and don't wait to be told what to do
  • Systems-oriented: you naturally look for ways to improve how things work
  • Adaptable: you stay ahead in a fast-changing space
  • Detail-oriented: without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Curious: you want to understand the why behind performance

It's a Plus If You...
  • Have experience building or evolving SEO processes or service offerings
  • Have worked with AI tools or automation to improve workflows
  • Have agency experience or managed SEO programs at scale
  • Have experience with advanced analytics or reporting systems
