The Role
The Multnomah Athletic Club (MAC) is seeking a Summer Basketball Camp Coach to join our Court Sports Team. This coach will create a fun, safe, and inclusive camp experience for youth participants through highquality basketball instruction, structured activities, and positive mentorship. This role supports skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship while serving as a role model for campers throughout the summer season.
What You’ll Do
  • Lead ageappropriate basketball drills, games, and instructional sessions
  • Teach fundamental skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense
  • Supervise campers during all activities to ensure safety and wellbeing
  • Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behavior
  • Adapt instruction to meet the needs of campers with varying skill levels
  • Enforce camp rules, safety guidelines, and behavioral expectations
  • Communicate effectively with campers, fellow coaches, and camp leadership
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and organization of equipment
  • Respond appropriately to injuries, incidents, or emergencies following established procedures
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience playing basketball and/or coaching youth sports
  • Ability to work effectively with children and teens in a group setting
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
