Job description

Job Title: TREE ROOM SERVICE BARTENDER
Department: F&B
Reports To: Senior Restaurant Manager/Supervisor/ Resort Bar & Beverage Manager 
Rate of Pay: $7.50/Hour + Tips
Shift: Monday - Sunday 4 PM - 11 PM (approximately)
Part-Time, Year Round Position
MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS
SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar; preparing and serving drinks; and updating the wine list and inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Set up and stock the bar at the beginning and end of each shift and keep bar clean and organized at all times.
Buff glasses.
Knowledge and compliance of Utah liquor laws.
Learn all drinks and obtain a good knowledge of wines.
Prepare all drinks/wine for the guests. Serve as needed.
Update lead bartender of any items that have been 86'd.
End of the month inventory.
Update wine list with current vintages.
Wine service when needed.
Run food when needed.
Run evening bar report for reconciliation.
Be available for wine and liquor deliveries.

DRESS CODE
Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of out ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Staff is required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted if no standard uniform is required.
Men's shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle- if no standard uniform is required.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing
Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are not permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Mtn Ops)

Employees must be showered with clean teeth, fresh breath, clean hands and nails
Tree Room server standard uniform is... khaki pants, black small buckled belt, black dress shoes, black socks, Tree Room shirt, white under shirt, and black apron.
Failure to comply with the dress code policy or enforce dress code and personal appearance policies with their staff, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
Must have or obtain a current alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
