Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to oversee all outbound logistics and finished goods shipping operations within our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and cost-effective preparation and shipment of finished goods while maintaining high standards of inventory control, documentation, and compliance. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is essential for managing shipping workflows and inventory transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily shipping operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatch of finished goods
  • Manage the preparation, staging, and verification of finished goods prior to shipment to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Generate, review, and transmit Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN) to customers in a timely and accurate manner
  • Coordinate with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to align shipping schedules with customer requirements
  • Ensure all shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, invoices, export documents) is complete and accurate
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 to manage inventory movements, shipping transactions, and reporting
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy related to outbound shipments
  • Develop and implement efficient shipping processes to reduce costs and improve delivery performance
  • Negotiate and coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including safety and customs requirements
  • Track shipments and resolve any delays, damages, or discrepancies
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate shipping staff to maintain high performance and safety standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in shipping/logistics within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience preparing and managing finished goods for shipment
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for inventory and shipping operations
  • Direct experience creating and managing Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN)
  • Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, carrier management, and freight terms
  • Experience with domestic and international shipping processes
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities across departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of ERP-integrated warehouse management systems
  • Certification in supply chain/logistics (e.g., APICS, CSCMP)
