Job description

Position Overview:Responsible for the daily administrative aspects of the Logistics Department. Provides administrative assistance and support to the Logistics/Warehouse team.


Essential Functions

Scheduling & Rescheduling Appointments

  • Coordinate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to arrange and adjust shipping schedules.

Checking Inbound and Outbound Loads

  • Check in truck drivers and ensure they receive or provide the correct paperwork.
  • Ensure accurate and timely check-in of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Monitor daily activities and ensure trucks are serviced in a timely manner.

Document Management

  • Prepare and send load documents to customers daily, including shipping manifests and other necessary or required paperwork.
  • File and store documentation accordingly.

Communication

  • Maintain clear and professional communication in all interactions, including radio, phone, in-person, and email communications.

Data Entry

  • Accurately input shipment and delivery data into company systems.

Administrative Assistance

  • Support the Logistics/Warehouse team with administrative overflow.
  • Cross-train, learn other departmental positions, and provide coverage when necessary.
