Job description

Arcosa Meyer Utility Structures is searching for a Senior Shipping Associate for our Lancaster, SC plant. In Shipping, you will perform activities related to processing, receiving, recording, storing, and/or shipping raw materials/finished goods. You'll operate mobile equipment (heavy equipment, forklift, cranes, yard vehicle, lift truck) to move materials/products between warehouse/manufacturing facilities. You may utilize computer software to identify materials/goods, ensure accuracy of purchase orders, and maintain inventory.

What You'll Do:ย 

  • Operate 15,000 pound or higher forklifts AND cranes
  • Operate track mobile
  • Unload and load shipments as requested
  • Pull product for fulfillment of orders
  • Move product within yard
  • Review receipt of materials to ensure materials received is correct
  • Ensure the security and accountability of materials
  • Ensure packaged goods are loaded according to documentation and bills of lading
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • Lead Team by assigning tasks
  • Assists in completion of all tasks to meet deadlines
  • Trains and ensures safety of team members

What You'll Need:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Prefer minimum one year related experience and/or training
  • Solution-based problem solving
  • Can-do attitude and strong work ethic
  • Leadership approach to supporting individual and team initiatives
  • Effective multitasking ability

Physical Requirements:ย ย 

  • 8 to 12 hours of sitting standing, walking & squatting.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to function in walking through an industrial welding facility shop environment (wearing appropriate PPE).
  • Exposure to magnetic fields while in plant facility.
  • Exposure to climate and weather aspects
