International Shipping Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced DIRECT HIRE Shipping Clerk to manage all facets of international and domestic outbound logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing international shipment documentation, accurately calculating weights, generating Bills of Lading (BOLs), and utilizing carrier software, specifically for FedEx and UPS. This role requires strong mathematical aptitude, proficiency with PC skills, and strict attention to detail to ensure compliant and timely delivery of goods.

  • Accurately weighing and measuring shipments to determine proper classifications and rates.
  • Processing shipments using major carrier software, specifically FedEx and UPS, including generating labels and tracking information.
  • Performing basic mathematical calculations related to shipping charges, dimensions, and weights.
  • Maintaining precise inventory and shipping records using PC-based systems and company software.
  • Coordinating with internal departments and external carriers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Proven experience handling and processing international shipments and documentation is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using FedEx and UPS shipping software/systems.
  • Experience generating and managing Bills of Lading (BOLs).
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate weighing, measuring, and rate calculation.
  • Excellent PC skills and experience with data entry, spreadsheets, and general office software.
  • High degree of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift packages and stand for extended periods (as required by a typical shipping role).
Compensation

Hourly Rate: $20 - $21
