Job description

OVERVIEW:
Shipper/Receiver ensures customers and vendors receive merchandise orders in a timely manner. Shipper/Receivers monitors merchandise arriving/leaving the store and ensures all related documents, such as shipping documents, invoices, and purchase orders, are in order. Shipper/Receivers ensure merchandise is properly packed and organized for safe shipment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
THE SHIPPER/RECEIVER WILL/IS:
? Provide courteous and pleasant service and perform tasks in accordance with Kleinfeld Bridal Customer Service Standards
? Be courteous and pleasant with customers, coworkers and supervisors
? Act as an ambassador for the store and building within the Kleinfeld Bridal Company
? Ensure Kleinfeld Bridal standards are fulfilled for each customer and will resolve any issue partnering with the appropriate person to ensure a timely and productive solution.
? Identify opportunities with shipping/receiving and the store/building, and informing supervisor so solutions can be made ? Determine the most cost effective method of shipment ? Ensure all invoices and other shipping documents are accurate and in order
? Oversee the shipping/receiving of store and customer merchandise, vendor, supplies, fixtures and owners items ? Package all merchandise and goods to be shipped ? Assist with loading and unloading of merchandise and fixtures into van ? Inspect and verify incoming merchandise, supplies and goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods ? Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person ? Unpack and route merchandise, supplies and goods to appropriate storage areas ? Maintain internal record-keeping systems ? Assist customers by carrying merchandise out to their vehicles ? Practice safe lifting, storage and handling procedures

? Match shipments to the purchase orders and enter receiving data into system and file paperwork ? Prepare and organize stock for inventory
? Assist with the execution of store inventory ? Return damaged products to senders
? Assist with the organization of the Rail Ex inventory
? Assist with van driving for the delivery and pick up of store, customer, owner and vendor merchandise, and fixtures
? Assist with light security support for store, associates, and customers
? Assist with store fixtures and financial stock items are organized and stored
? Assist the other departments and vendors to address issues or opportunities in a timely and productive way ensuring customer/associate satisfaction
? Assist with trash removal and with keeping the building and outside areas clean and safe
? Ensure that all areas of the store areas are kept organized, clean and safe for all associates and customers

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Education:
? High School Diploma or equivalent
? Shipping/Receiving experience
Communication:
? Able to communicate and read/write instructions
? Excellent customer service skills
Leadership:
? Able to demonstrate problem resolution skills
? Can work independently without constant supervision
? Able to work effectively with all functions across the company, with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with staff at all levels of the organization,
? Demonstrates ability to work flex style and work with a variety of groups including trades, creative, executives and hourly work force.
Organizational Skills:
? Ability to keep sales floor and common areas safe, clean and organized
? Demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity
