Job description

Position Summary/Objective
The Receiving Associate position is responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving items for production.
Essential Functions
  • Understand all product and ingredient descriptions and confirm quantities needed by production team
  • Operate forklift or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas.
  • Prepare completed products for shipment to warehouse
  • Pick product for production, while packing product in correct area and stocking warehouse appropriately
  • Load/unload incoming/outgoing trucks
  • Operate heavy machinery (ex: forklift, reach truck, & electric pallet jack)
  • Prepares shipping containers, boxes, and trays
  • Reviews box & packaging quantity for maximum shipment quality and efficiency
  • Reviews and verifies final carton count to ensure overall order accuracy
  • Assist in loading trucks and placing items on delivery pallets
  • Coordinate efforts with facilities staff to ensure proper cleanliness of the warehouse areas
  • Adheres to work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
  • Complete other work assignments and projects as requested

Required Education and Experience
  • Receiving Associate is a fast-paced job that requires climbing, bending/kneeling, reaching overhead, continuous lifting, and walking.
  • Strong and meticulous attention to detail for inspecting goods.
