Job Title: Logistics Operator (Shipping & Receiving)

Location: Parsippany, NJ
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Contract to Hire

1st shift hours

Position Overview: We have an immediate opening for a Logistics Operator. This role involves various logistics tasks, including shipping, receiving, sample pulling, data entry, and material handling. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of supply chain activities, and proficiency in computer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict adherence to equipment SOPs, GMP standards, and documentation requirements.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of engineering controls and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with shipping finished products to customers, ensuring accurate paperwork, labeling, and on-time delivery.
  • Receive raw materials and supplies, checking the condition and accuracy of paperwork, and provide samples to Quality Control.
  • Communicate effectively with Customer Service, Purchasing, Quality, Regulatory, Production, Planning, and Carriers.
  • Maintain inventory integrity and ensure good housekeeping in the warehouse.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Participate in environmental training and adhere to applicable environmental policies and best practices.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of shipping, receiving, and warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience in the flavor and fragrance industry is a plus but not required.
  • Forklift and Dangerous Goods (hazmat) experience required.
  • Forklift certification.
