Distribution Center Manager | Grocery Operations

Location: Bloomfield, CT
Salary: $82,000 to $87,500 per year
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Operations

Epic Personnel Partners is hiring an experienced Distribution Center Manager for a high-volume grocery distribution facility in Bloomfield, Connecticut.

This leadership position is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing supervisors and team members, maintaining safety and productivity standards, and ensuring products are received, stored, selected, and shipped accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily distribution center and warehouse operations
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors, team leads, and warehouse employees
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, labor planning, and employee performance
  • Monitor productivity, order accuracy, inventory, shipping, receiving, and operational KPIs
  • Ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized distribution environment
  • Enforce company policies, food safety procedures, and OSHA standards
  • Investigate operational issues and implement corrective action plans
  • Work closely with transportation, inventory control, human resources, maintenance, and senior leadership
  • Monitor labor costs, overtime, equipment usage, and warehouse expenses
  • Improve workflow, productivity, employee engagement, and operational efficiency

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field is preferred but not required
