Job description

CSI is looking for a Shipping Coordinator for our Grand Prairie TX location.

This position will provide day-to-day operational support of shipping functions, across departments, within
CSI. This employee must have a general understanding of all aspects of logistics including Importing,
Exporting, Warehousing, Multimodal Transportation and General Inventory Control processes. The Shipping
Coordinator will sit in the warehouse environment as part of the warehouse team, specializing in shipment
scheduling, both export and domestic.

Salary: $22 - $25 per hour

Primary Functions
Logistics

  • Work with purchasing, customer service, sales, warehouse and project management to coordinate international logistics services (including importing and exporting)
  • Create and foster relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs
  • Provide support for all warehouse operations; including shipping, receiving, inventory control, general administrative duties and housekeeping
  • Coordinate international shipments for customers
  • International documentation
  • File all documents in document management system
  • Schedule and order crates
  • Track shipments
  • Pull MTRs for customers
  • Communicate with vendors to purchase and expedite drop ship and other pertinent items

Position Requirements:

  • Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • College degree or some college courses, desired

Experience:

  • Good phone etiquette, required
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, required
  • Previous customer service experience, preferred
  • Previous purchasing experience, helpful
  • Industrial food or pharmaceutical, helpful
  • Epicor ERP 10 experience, preferred

More than 40 hours per week may occasionally be required in order to achieve the productivity necessary
for this position. Overnight travel, Saturday, Sunday and holiday hours may occasionally be required but are
not anticipated with this position.
This position requires the ability to interact with employees verbally and in writing, remain in a stationary
position for 80% of the workday, have close visual acuity, and constantly operate a computer and other
office productivity equipment, such as a phone, copy/fax/scan machine, computer keyboard and mouse
with or without reasonable accommodation. This position also requires the ability to occasionally lift, stoop,
bend, and lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
