Job description

Mikes Mechanical is looking for a Warehouse Associate! The Warehouse Associate will assist in facilitation of warehouse activities and operations. This position is responsible for assisting with all shipping, receiving and inventory organization within the warehouse.  

Location: 1005 Warner Avenue Lewiston, ID 83501

Essential Job Functions

  • Maintain warehouse organization, inventory control and cleanliness standards.
  • Receive and process incoming inventory and materials. Ensure product and materials are organized and stored according to inventory control procedures.
  • Prepare and pull daily orders from inventory stock. Organize inventory in staging areas for required shipment and deliveries.
  • Verify accuracy of the orders by verifying numeric and alpha-numeric part numbers.
  • Pre-inspect the quality and quantity of all warehouse supplies and equipment delivered to job sites and alternate company locations.
  • Ensure necessary warehouse tools and equipment are available and in working order to complete assigned duties. Notify supervisor of any issues that need attention.
  • Assist with delivery of inventory or equipment between company locations and job sites as needed.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety trainings and regulations as defined by company policy and procedure.
  • Ensure that company vehicle is maintained and operated in accordance to company driving policy.
  • Participate and attend all required employee meetings and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Hours

This is a non-exempt position. Work hours to be determined based on the needs of the business. Overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Competencies

This position requires strong time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written. This position requires a self-starter that detail orientated and has excellent organizational skills.  

Education and Experience

Requires a high school diploma and/or any equivalent of education and experience to meet the essential functions of the job. Must have a valid driver’s license and remain insurable under our company insurance policy. Knowledge of basic principles in inventory control, warehouse procedures and/or safety regulations is desired.

Work Environment

Frequently works in outside weather conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or conditions. Occasionally exposed to hot, wet and/humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Moderately loud noise level while in the warehouse or field.

Physical Demands

Moderate to heavy working conditions. Frequently required to stand, walk, talk and hear. Constantly required to use hand and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. May require prolonged periods of standing.

Supervisory Responsibility

None. All questionable matters are referred to Supervisor.  

Travel

Occasional travel between job sites and alternate company locations for deliveries and pickups as needed. Travel to be expected during normal business hours.
