Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Shipping and Receiving Handler located in Dallas, Texas.

Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Handler will be responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipment activities.

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What a typical day looks like:

  • Verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy.

  • Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.

  • Stage received material and product in appropriate location.

  • Create shipping and receiving receipts within system.

  • Prepares products and bills of lading for shipments; stages product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier.

  • Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safely manner.

  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least one year of experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or any related field

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented skills

  • Solid organizational and time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Familiar with cycle counting, picking and posting, and working with an MRP/ERP system
