Join Our Team as a Shipping and Receiving clerk at Epiroc!
This Shipping and Receiving role is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the department with primary emphasis on distribution, prepping, kitting, and staging of material and control of inventory. Specifically, you'll:
Work Type (Onsite): This position will be based onsite at our Milwaukie, OR facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship
Shift Timings: 1st shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus, payable to new hires who meet the program's eligibility criteria. Details will be provided during the interview process.
Responsibilities:
  • Pick, pack, ship, and invoice orders according to the printed shipping list or request.
  • Receive parts and materials (both physically and in the system), verify against packing slips or material travelers, and deliver items to their correct inventory locations.
  • Collaborate with Planners, Customer Service, and Buyers to resolve issues when needed.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives and proactively identify areas for process improvement within your scope.
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures, including CTPAT compliance.
  • Perform cycle counts on parts and tools as required.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, jib hoists, forklifts, and other lifting equipment, with on-site training and certification provided prior to use.

The salary for this position is between $20.00 and $24.00 hourly, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.
Knowledge/Education:
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience with proper lifting techniques and lifting devices (chains, straps, slings), as well as equipment like electric pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, and overhead cranes, is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Previous shipping and/or receiving experience is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with M3 and third-party logistics software is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs

Physical Requirements
  • Continuous standing; repetitive motion of hand/wrist.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently.
  • Frequent bending; twisting; crouching; repetitive motion of elbow/shoulder; pushing/pulling.
  • Intermittent walking

Work Environment
  • Exposure to typical manufacturing areas and will require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, and in some areas hearing protection may be required.
  • The work environment may include a workstation equipped with a computer as required for the job.
  • Team members must be mobile enough to navigate the manufacturing shop floor safely, including walking and standing for up to four hours at a time.
  • The physical environment may require working both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
