General Purpose of the Position:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for operations in the shipping area and receiving area, preparing product for shipments, pallet utilization, loading trucks and restocking inventory on shelves.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with Supervisor and manufacturing team.
  • Maintain an orderly and neat stock area, in both receiving and shipping.
  • Ensure that product being shipped meets company quality standards.
  • Responsible for preparing all UPS shipments.
  • Ensure that all receiving functions that affect the business units and finish goods inventory are processed accurately by verifying purchase orders and ticketing and auditing the validation and verification reports.
  • Timely process receipt and distribution of all incoming deliveries according to Company standards.
  • Ability to use RF scanners to complete shipments.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have one (1) year inventory management experience. Candidates must have strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to drive a forklift is a must. A high school degree or GED equivalent is preferred.

Lukjan Metal Products offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, which include medical/dental/vision after 90 days, 401(k) with employer contribution after one year, employer paid life insurance and short-term disability and buy-up plans for short and long term disability, life insurance, and other ancillary benefits.

Hourly Rate: $19.50 - $20.00
