Job description

Sonstegard Foods Company is a leading manufacturer and wholesaler of shell eggs along with powdered, liquid and frozen egg products. We operate facilities in five states and sell our products into domestic and international markets. Shipping

Sunrise Farms Harris IA 2nd shift

This position will directly report to the Logistics Manager and work with the General Manager and Production Supervisors. Primarily responsible for the daily operations on the loading dock. Also, responsible for compliance with all company policies, SQF regulations and local state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Essential Job Duties

  • Supervise and train loading dock employees ensuring career progression.
  • Communicate with other members of the shipping department to ensure accurate processing of finished product.
  • Verify materials loaded or unloaded against BOL or packing slip.
  • Complete and review daily production reports, BOLs, and packing slips.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in all communications with drivers, dispatchers and coworkers.
  • Maintain cleanliness of loading docks and coolers.
  • Complete egg inventory each morning.
  • Verify all doors and equipment are operating correctly.
  • Clean cooler per SQF document 11.2.13FD.
  • Comply with all company, SQF regulations local, state and federal laws and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Read basic orders and packing slips.

  • Operate loading and unloading equipment.

  • Basic reasoning and thinking skills.

  • Manage multiple tasks and projects.

  • Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and safety requirements.

Physical Requirements
