Job Title: Shipping Clerk (Pillow Manufacturing Plant)

Department: Pillow Manufacturing Plant

Title Typically Reported To: Shipping/Operations Manager

Location: Grove City, OH

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced pillow manufacturing environment. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for coordinating and managing the shipping of finished products, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and able to handle a high volume of orders in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules may be subject to change in order to meet company needs and business requirements. Duties include:

•Shipping Operations: Prepare and process shipping documents for delivery.

•Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate shipping logs, including trackingnumbers, delivery schedules, and shipment details. Prepare bills of lading, shipping invoices, andother required documentation.

•Loading and Unloading: Oversee or assist in the loading and unloading of finished goods fromdelivery trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.

•Coordination with Other Departments: Work closely with the production and warehouse teamsto ensure timely and accurate shipments. Communicate any issues or discrepancies with theproduction team to resolve shipment problems.

•Customer Service: Address any shipping-related customer inquiries, including tracking orderstatus, handling delays, and resolving issues related to damaged or missing goods.

•Shipment Scheduling: Coordinate with carriers and shipping partners to schedule pickups anddeliveries, ensuring timely dispatch of orders.

•Maintaining Shipping Area: Keep the shipping area clean, organized, and stocked with necessarymaterials such as packing supplies, labels, and documentation forms.

•Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and practices when handling goods and operatingequipment in the shipping area.

• Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Shipping Supervisor, such as assisting with inventory audits, returns processing, or other administrative duties related to shipping.
