Job description

Cross-Functional Operational Support Role

Role Summary: Cross-functional operational support role combining logistics (shipping, receiving, inventory) with front-desk reception and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving & Inventory: Inspect incoming deliveries against purchase orders/packing slips, log products into inventory, properly label items, and update project or service tickets.
  • Shipping & Logistics: Package products securely, generate shipping labels via major carriers (FedEx, UPS), update shipping logs, resolve transit issues, and send tracking information to account managers and clients.
  • Project Coordination: Maintain and update project statuses, track product ETAs, assign Project Managers, and note order changes or delivery details.
  • Reception & Front Desk: Answer and transfer main line calls, cover the Help Desk line during weekly meetings, greet visitors, manage sign-ins, process mail, and track office supplies.

Core Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1–3 years in shipping, receiving, logistics, or operational support.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (strong emphasis on Excel), ticketing systems, order/inventory software, multiline phone systems, and shipping platforms (FedEx, UPS).
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle high-volume workflows.
  • Key Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication, customer service orientation, adaptability, and self-motivation.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
