At Polaris, we are seeking a strategic, transformational Director of Materials & Logistics to lead one of the most critical functions in our Huntsville manufacturing operation. This is an opportunity to build a world-class materials organization, modernize logistics and material flow processes, and develop the next generation of operations leaders. As a key member of the operations leadership team, you will drive meaningful business impact by shaping the strategy, systems, and talent needed to support growth, improve operational performance, and strengthen organizational capability for the future.

What You'll Impact

  • Build a scalable materials and logistics organization capable of supporting future business growth and operational complexity.

  • Lead internal logistics transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, responsiveness, flexibility, and cost competitiveness.

  • Improve inventory accuracy, inventory turns, working capital performance, and delivery reliability across the operation.

  • Partner with operations leaders to strengthen organizational capability and succession readiness for future leadership roles.

  • Drive operational excellence through Lean material flow principles, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Own performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, and People metrics for the materials and logistics organization.

  • Lead production planning, material planning, inventory control, warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, line replenishment, and internal logistics functions.

  • Ensure material availability supports production requirements while optimizing inventory investment and working capital.

  • Establish and maintain industry-leading inventory accuracy and inventory turns performance.

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators that drive accountability, visibility, and continuous improvement.

  • Support lean and flexible manufacturing methods. Implement and continuously improve pull systems throughout manufacturing and with our supplier base to deliver materials to the Point of Use efficiently.

  • Develop, Implement, and continually optimize Plans for Every Part (PFEP).

What Success Looks Like

  • Building a high-performing materials organization that enables business growth.

  • Creating sustainable improvements in inventory accuracy, inventory turns, and material availability.

  • Establishing a best-in-class internal logistics operation that supports manufacturing excellence.

  • Developing a strong leadership bench capable of supporting future operational needs.

  • Delivering measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness for HSV plant, plant to plant supply, and PG&A supply.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing supply chain, materials management, logistics, or operations.

  • Good knowledge of and experience using ERP and Supply Chain Systems, such as SAP and Blue Yonder for managing materials, planning/sequencing production, managing material flow, warehouse management, and inventory management.

  • Minimum of 5 years leading managers and large cross-functional teams.

  • Proven success implementing Lean material flow and inventory optimization strategies.

  • Strong financial and business acumen with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced degree.

  • APICS/ASCM, CPIM, CSCP, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar certifications.

  • Previous success leading material flow transformation within automotive, powersports, heavy equipment, aerospace, or high-volume manufacturing.
