Role Summary
Role Summary
Responsible for Associate compliance to Production and Logistics Basics (Training, 5S, Standardized Work, Kaizen, TPM); Ensures On time delivery performance; FIFO systems and Document Accuracy. Coordinates activities within the shipping and repacking operations.
Main Tasks
Coordinator Responsibility
  • Verifies all shortage and expedite logs are updated daily
  • Verifies all service shipments are audited as required
  • Oversees the 5S and organization of the warehouse and shipping office
  • Responsible for the reporting of all Logistics Basics Audits to the Supervisor as required
  • Verifies all shipping procedures are followed and adhered to
  • Supports and oversees the accuracy and timely delivery of all shipments from the Service Center location.

Shipping Responsibility
  • Ensure received product, WIP and Finished Goods are put away and pulled in FIFO order and on a timely basis
  • Coordinates the accurate and efficient shipment of product per customer requirements.
  • Develops Staging Schedules to improve overall operations efficiency in accordance with Minimum Idle time standard provided by Supervisor
  • Assist in the maintenance of an orderly, safe and efficient shipping dock area.
  • Assures that all shipping documentation and labeling is accurate and meets customer required specifications.
  • Collects and maintains accurate shipping and receiving records.
  • Notifies designated couriers according to the shipping schedule.
  • Maintains customer required window times
  • Verify bills of lading, invoice and packing slips match and shipping schedules agree with shipment.
  • Oversees the complete inspection of each trailer being shipped; completion of Inspection Sheet by material handlers.
  • Enter returnable dunnage into customer portals and also into excel file log.
  • Keeps Warehouse Supervisor advised of recurring problems existing in the warehouse area which adversely affect work flow or inventory.
  • Manages Expedites and other Special Shipments
  • Supports and fosters Continuous Improvement of Shipping dock area and processes
  • Other related responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Coordination of Shipping Dock Drivers / Schedules
  • Ensures all Shipping Operations are conducted Safely in accordance with MIOSHA and Mann - Hummel Rules and Policies
  • Plan, review and coordinate daily attendance , assign and direct work of shipping material handlers
  • Address, recognize and discuss discipline for Shipping associates with Supervisor in accordance with the company policies and the law;
  • Ensures understanding and adherence to Standard Work and Logistics Basics

Education:
  • High school diploma / GED

Experience:
  • 1 year Experience with Microsoft Office software applications
  • 1 year SAP Logistics Execution software experience
  • 1 year Prior shipping experience
