Location: Westfield-Lebanon


Purpose of Position:

The Shipping Associate is responsible for supporting the accurate, efficient, and safe movement of finished product through the Lebanon facility. This role performs shipping activities, including pallet preparation, product verification, and loading outbound trucks, while maintaining organized and compliant shipping and storage areas.

Essential Duties:

  • Perform shipping activities, including staging orders, wrapping pallets, verifying labels and product codes, and loading outbound trucks.
  • Verify orders for accuracy and completeness prior to shipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely and efficiently to move products and materials.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records, documentation, and inventory information in NAV.
  • Follow FIFO practices and assist with proper product rotation and inventory control.
  • Inspect pallets, trailers, and equipment to ensure they are clean, safe, and in good working condition.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant shipping areas.
  • Communicate effectively with the Shipping & Receiving Lead and Operations Manager regarding shipping needs, order issues, and operational challenges.
  • Follow food safety, quality, and workplace safety requirements and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Assist with receiving activities and other warehouse duties as needed.
  • Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

  • Typical hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Two 10-minute paid breaks and a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
Requirements:
  • Completion of general safety and basic food safety training (provided by WEF).
  • Training in electric pallet jack and forklift operation (provided by WEF).
  • Steel-toed or composite toe shoes required (WEF provides a shoe compensation plan)
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
  • The ability to interpret documents such as standard operating procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Physical Requirements / Environmental Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee is regularly required to move about the facility. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (egg boxes). The employee is required to seek assistance in the lifting of more than 50 pounds, or use a forklift to lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, soaps and/or chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to cold, and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
