Job description

Micro-Tronics, Inc. (MTI) is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Associate to support the efficient movement of materials throughout our manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outgoing orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are delivered where they're needed to support production.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documentation.
  • Process receiving transactions accurately in the ERP system.
  • Package and prepare outgoing shipments to ensure safe and secure delivery.
  • Create packing slips and shipping documentation.
  • Load and unload deliveries using a forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Deliver incoming materials to the appropriate departments throughout the facility.
  • Pull materials for production jobs and return unused materials to inventory.
  • Cut or saw raw material as needed to support manufacturing.
  • Perform material hardness testing and assist with scheduled material testing.
  • Assist with stockroom operations, inventory control, and physical inventory counts.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and supervisors to resolve receiving discrepancies.
  • Schedule recycled material pickups and assist with proper disposal of expired chemicals.
  • Perform local pickups and deliveries as needed using a company vehicle.
  • Support the Shipping & Receiving team with additional duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience is a plus.
  • Previous driving experience preferred.
  • Experience using an ERP system (SyteLine preferred) is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately verify shipments and maintain inventory records.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to maintain lot control and inventory accuracy.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position requiring the ability to:

  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Use hand tools and warehouse equipment.
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
