SHIPPING WAREHOUSE

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is for all aspects of material handling and safe operation of material handling equipment. The following are core essential functions of the position:

Operate material handling equipment to load and unload product inan efficient and safe manner.

Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine workassignments and material and equipment needs.

Accurately load and unload product, using forklifts.

Ensure that bundle and band material still meets inspection.

Check product for visual properties or damage prior to shipmentleaving.

Ensure that all shipments are correctly loaded and stable.

Record numbers of units handled and moved, using pick list.

Move stock, and other materials to and from yard and productionareas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or using forklifts and otherequipment.

Rebundle product as necessary.

Assist with inventory counting and reporting.

Assist with receiving inventory.

Carry out general yard duties such as cleaning up debris/scrap,maintenance up keep of the yard and/or equipment, and maintaining efficiencyof the stock inventory in the yard.

Shovel material such as gravel or ice within the yard or aroundthe premises.

Perform daily routine maintenance checks on loading equipment.

Reliable attendance.

Comply with all company standards, rules and policies.

Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work 8-hour shifts.

Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.

Must be able to lift, push and lift product with weights up to 60 pounds
