Job Title: Shipping and Receiving AssociateJob Description

The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a key role in the warehouse operation by accurately moving, tracking, and documenting materials. This position ensures that incoming and outgoing freight is handled efficiently, packaged correctly, and recorded in the inventory system with precise weights, dimensions, and disposal data.

Responsibilities
  • Move materials throughout the warehouse in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.
  • Track materials within the warehouse, including tagging items, recording inventory data, and documenting weight and dimensions.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
  • Sort and segregate all distributions accurately to ensure correct routing and handling of materials.
  • Load and unload freight from trucks, vans, and other transportation vehicles while verifying that paperwork matches the items being loaded or unloaded.
  • Perform quality checks on products during loading and unloading to identify and report any potential damage.
  • Document and update disposal data to ensure all use of the dumpster and material disposal is properly captured.
  • Pick and pack materials and freight in a timely and orderly manner to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
  • Use RF scanners to scan, track, and verify materials during picking, packing, shipping, and receiving processes.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by organizing packages, preparing items for shipment, and confirming receipt of incoming materials.
  • Perform cycle counts to help maintain accurate inventory levels and identify discrepancies.
