PrideStaff – Greenville is seeking a safety-focused and meticulous Chemical Shipping Associate on behalf of our client in the Piedmont, SC area.

As a Chemical Shipping Associate, you will work directly with the Logistics Manager to ensure that all outbound product is packaged, documented, and shipped accurately and in a timely manner. The right candidate must be committed to safety protocols, attention to detail, and ethical practices in handling chemical products.


Chemical Shipping Associate Primary Responsibilities include:

Your main responsibility is the preparation and dispatch of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, ensuring full compliance and timely delivery.

  • Packaging & Preparation: Package liquid and chemical products securely, ensuring container integrity and proper labeling prior to shipment.
  • Order Staging: Stage orders in the shipping area the day prior to shipping whenever possible; ensure the staging area is cleared daily in preparation for next day's shipments.
  • Loading: Safely load packaged chemical orders onto delivery trucks and tankers in accordance with documented procedures and load plans.
  • Documentation Processing: Ship orders in accordance with shipping documents; complete all required paperwork, including the Inspection form for each shipment, ensuring the product meets all requirements.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow OSHA requirements related to all assigned work; ensure proper use of PPE (respirators, gloves, chemical suits, etc.) and strictly adhere to dress code requirements.
  • Area Maintenance: Keep the shipping area clean and organized at all times.
  • Collaboration: Communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.


Chemical Shipping Associate Desired Skills and Experience include:

  • 3 or more years of chemical or liquid shipping experience is strongly preferred.
  • Forklift Certification and valid driver's license are required.
  • Attention to detail is essential for accurate packaging and documentation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle rapidly changing priorities.
  • Understands that honesty and ethics are essential when handling sensitive product documentation.
  • Must be able to climb ladders/steps while wearing full chemical suit and respirator.
  • Significant walking, standing, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (OT as needed on nights, weekends, and some holidays).
  • Positive attitude and good oral and written communication skills; ability to work well alone and in a team.
