Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The shipping checker is responsible for directing, delegating and ensuring that all employees on the assigned loading crew perform their duties as described below. As necessary, the Shipping Checker must be able to perform any/all of these duties.

JOB AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must learn to read load schedule.
  • Direct crew in order of finished goods to be loaded.
  • Read and scan product label/tickets as brought to dock for loading.
  • Coordinate loading and stacking of finished goods on trailer.
  • Adjust seat count on all trailers.
  • Seal trailers when load is complete.
  • Keep rick sheets.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Assist others when necessary.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
