Summary:
A Shipping & Receiving Supervisor at Pacific Seafood oversees all warehouse, shipping, receiving, and driving operations while leading and developing a skilled team. This role ensures accurate, compliant, and efficient movement of inbound and outbound cargo through strong coordination, documentation control, and use of transportation and asset‑management systems. The Shipping & Receiving Manager partners with internal departments and external carriers, drives process and safety improvements, maintains equipment and fleet readiness, and supports a culture centered on safety, training, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise shipping, receiving, warehouse, and driving personnel to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Trains staff on warehouse procedures, material‑handling equipment, forklift use, and safety standards.
  • Oversees warehouse organization and inventory flows to ensure regular inbound and outbound freight movements.
  • Maintains accuracy and coordination of freight backloading for Pacific Seafood vessels while in port.
  • Coordinates with procurement and warehouse staff for return and repair storage and shipments.
  • Oversees accuracy and documentation of inbound and outbound shipments, including freight quotes, bills of lading, and invoices.
  • Utilizes transportation and asset management systems to maintain cargo accountability and
  • traceability.
  • Plans shipping priorities, workload distribution, routing, and legal load limits for trucks.
  • Coordinates with trucking companies, vessel offload operations, and internal stakeholders on
  • logistics needs.
  • Reviews and improves warehouse processes, conducts daily safety meetings, and enforces
  • safety culture.
  • Oversees administrative tasks including invoice coding, record accuracy, and overall
  • departmental efficiency.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.
What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Required:
  • 3+ years of Inventory Control experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in inventory management and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industry best practices in inventory control and supply chain management
  • Proven ability to lead cross functional initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial data, identify trends or risks, and drive corrective actions.

Preferred:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing ERP systems.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, including AS400 or similar legacy platform
