Shipping/Receiving & Driver

Contour Machining, Inc. – Elk Grove Village, IL
$20–$22/hour | Full-Time | Overtime Available

Contour Machining, Inc. is looking for a dependable, hardworking Shipping/Receiving Clerk & Production Assistant to join our team in Elk Grove Village.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying busy and is willing to help wherever needed. The role includes shipping and receiving, local deliveries, material handling, packaging, and general production support.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare, pack, band, and protect finished products for shipment
  • Receive incoming materials and verify shipments
  • Manage and track packing slips, purchase orders, and other shipping paperwork
  • Use our computer system to review daily workload and shipping requirements
  • Load and unload materials by hand or forklift
  • Make local pickups and deliveries to customers and suppliers
  • Verify orders before delivery to ensure quantities and paperwork are correct
  • Use a tablet/mobile device for navigation, routing, and delivery tracking
  • Assist production employees as needed
  • Help maintain a clean and organized shop, including sweeping, garbage removal, and general housekeeping
  • Learn and rotate through different responsibilities as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent attendance and reliability
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
  • Professional communication skills when interacting with customers and suppliers
  • Ability to lift 3–25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, and stand throughout an 8-hour shift
  • Forklift experience is a plus
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience is helpful but not required for the right candidate

Schedule & Compensation

  • $20-22 per hour, based on experience
  • Full-time
  • Monday–Saturday
  • Overtime available
  • Many employees have the opportunity to work approximately 55–60 hours per week
