Job description

1.Loads, transports, unloads and assists in selecting all rigging tackle, according to weight and size of load to be moved.
2. Attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings and gin pole booms, with bolts and clamps


3. Attaches loads with appropriate rigging tackle to crane hook.
4.

Gives directions to Crane Operator engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handlers, using hand signals, or radio communications.
5. Assists Crane Operator in assembly and disassembly of cranes.


6. Sets up braces and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.
7.

May direct workers engaged in hoisting of machinery and equipment in ships, railroad cars or trucks, piperacks, laydown yards, structures, compressor decks.
8. Loads, transports and unloads materials, tools, equipment and supplies.


9. Cleans and maintains tools, equipment and work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
10.Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment
