Job Description

The Logistics Attendant is responsible for coordinating and executing material movements, receiving, shipping, and warehouse functions across the organization. This role is essential to the company’s customer experience by ensuring timely and accurate supply of materials to internal departments and external customers. The Logistics Attendant supports interdepartmental communication, collaborates with outside operations, and maintains a high level of accuracy and service throughout all logistics workflows. The primary purpose of this position is to receive, evaluate, stock, ship, and manage materials from receipt through consumption or sale, ensuring seamless flow and operational continuity.

Essential Job Duties

  • Receive and process incoming materials from receipt through stocking, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Verify, inspect, and document incoming goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications.
  • Establish and maintain storage locations, ensuring proper rotation and organization of inventory in warehouse and production areas.
  • Safely operate material-handling equipment (forklifts, lift trucks, pallet jacks, VLMs) to transport materials and navigate narrow aisles.
  • Stock materials in high-bay racking and vertical lift modules (VLMs), consolidating and securing inventory to maximize storage efficiency.
  • Accurately pick and stage materials for production, Kanban replenishment, and internal orders, ensuring timely delivery to designated areas.
  • Follow packaging and labeling guidelines to ensure the safety, compliance, and integrity of all outbound shipments.
  • Manage internal consumption and replenishment of packaging materials.
  • Operate packaging equipment such as shrink wrappers, banders, and stretch wrappers to prepare goods for shipment.
  • Organize, build, and secure consolidated deliveries, ensuring proper documentation and traceability of all materials.
  • Process and prepare domestic, international, dangerous goods, and freight shipments, following all regulatory and carrier requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Order Management, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure on-time shipment, accurate documentation, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Basic Job Skills

  • Strong computer and process skills; proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications is highly recommended.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and maintain a strong sense of urgency.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and performing well under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Skilled in the safe and efficient operation of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, VLMs, and material handling tools).

      Physical Requirements

      • Require constant (5-8 hours/day) lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.

      • Requires occasional (up to 2 hours/day) bending, crawling, crouching, climbing, sitting, kneeling, reaching on a daily basis

      Additional Information

      A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $19-$22 per hour. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10% as well as 401K match up to 8% (vesting schedule). The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law.
