A&W in Hub Mall is seeking reliable, experienced Food Service Supervisors/ Closing and Weekend Shifts to join our leadership team in a full-time, permanent role. Role Overview

As a Food Service Supervisor/Closing and Weekends Shift, you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts. You will lead front‑line staff, support operational decisions, and ensure food quality, safety, cleanliness, and customer service meet A&W standards.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for individuals who are comfortable taking ownership of their shift and supporting both people and performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations
  • Supervise and coordinate staff activities during assigned shifts
  • Assign stations, manage breaks, and ensure proper staffing levels
  • Open and/or close the restaurant, including safe and cash‑handling procedures
  • Address operational, staff, or guest concerns professionally and calmly
  • Support training, coaching, and onboarding of new employees
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
  • Complete shift documentation and required records accurately
Inventory & Cash Control
  • Assist with inventory counts and monitoring waste and usage
  • Follow established cash‑handling and loss‑prevention procedures
  • Support basic food and labour cost control
  • Assist with routine administrative and reporting tasks
Customer Experience
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment
  • Ensure guests receive prompt, friendly, and consistent service
  • Handle guest concerns using A&W service recovery standards
  • Ensure team appearance and conduct meet A&W brand expectations
Qualifications & Experience
  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in food service
  • Previous lead, senior crew, or supervisory experience preferred
  • FOODSAFE Level 1 required (Level 2 considered an asset)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Dependable, mature, and comfortable working independently
  • Ability to succeed in a fast‑paced, accountable environment
Working Conditions
  • Fast‑paced restaurant environment
  • Standing and walking throughout shifts, with repetitive tasks typical of a food service environment
  • Occasional lifting of up to 14 kgs (approx. 31 lbs)
  • Shift work including mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
