Shift Team Leader

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we are looking for a Shift Team Leader responsible for coordinating, coaching, and directing shift personnel, in full compliance with site SHE and Quality protocols and procedures, and to execute the daily manufacturing schedule. The shift team leader is accountable to ensure all production operations are conducted within agreed employee and labor relation practices, quality guidelines, and operations supply protocols. To act as site responsible person during out of hours activities. Perform all duties within the Company's SHE regulations. All other duties assigned by management. Must have cGMP and minimum ICHQ7 pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
Who We're Looking For:
โ€ข Technical degree (2 year) or bachelor's degree in science or engineering
โ€ข Minimum of 3 years manufacturing supervisory experience
โ€ข Understand the equipment used to carry out production and other site services, including control software and site vehicles.
โ€ข cGMP and pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
โ€ข Must have oral & written proficiency in the English language.
โ€ข Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
โ€ข Technical writing and technical review experience
โ€ข To record and communicate data accurately in paper & computer systems (e.g., SAP).
โ€ข To have appropriate knowledge of maintenance and analysis and any computer systems which control the plant.
โ€ข Understand the importance of working in instructions and propose improvements to them.
โ€ข Accuracy and attention to detail.
โ€ข Lead a team and interact effectively with others.
โ€ข Identify & solve problems that arise from plant operations.
โ€ข Proficient knowledge and ability to apply scientific principles utilized to solve operational, as well as routine production tasks.
โ€ข Proficient knowledge of documentation including comprehension, review & establishing Batch Production Records, SOP's, deviation & summary reports.
โ€ข Actively pursues learning of required skills, new skills, and new equipment.
โ€ข Possesses proficient equipment understanding, including understanding equipment function and application.
โ€ข Ability to walk, sit and/or stand for a minimum of 12 hours per day.
โ€ข May be required to move throughout production areas on uneven surfaces, climb stairs and be exposed to airborne substances.
What You'll Be Doing:
โ€ข Monitor Production quality and quantity.
โ€ข Ensure all work is completed following Standard Operating Procedures
โ€ข Following instructions of Manufacturing Batch Sheets and accurately recording information.
โ€ข Reporting of manufacturing deviations in Master Control.
โ€ข Ensure operations comply with the production schedule.
โ€ข Ensure batch quality by coordination and cooperation with QC.
โ€ข Review of Production Operators' work.
โ€ข Make on-going process improvement recommendations. Provide guidance for continuous improvement initiatives with cross-functional project teams.
โ€ข Coach and Lead operations crew with day-to-day tasks.
โ€ข Cover Shift Management responsibilities during PTO and as needed.
โ€ข Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with manufacturing operations.
โ€ข Ensure staff is trained in all manufacturing operations and documentation while adhering to safety standards. Provides training to associates including on-boarding and/or new procedures.
โ€ข Oversee daily activity for team members to ensure performance results for direct reports.
โ€ข Responsible for the control of all material flows, manufacturing operations, and the supervision of the various teams.
โ€ข Draft and revise official manufacturing documents, SOPs, and Batch Records.
โ€ข Lead initiation and closure of deviations; may serve as the lead in the departmental investigation and be responsible for closing out deviations and CAPAs.
โ€ข Collaborate with development groups to assist with tech-transfer, scale-up, and translation activities.
โ€ข Provide daily production updates to production managers and project managers.
โ€ข Serves on various committees and teams to improve operations.
โ€ข Serve as the site leader on off shifts and weekends and Incident Commander or Incident Operations role in the incident command structure.
โ€ข Performing Lead Shift Process Technician Duties and conduct troubleshooting.
โ€ข Reporting of manufacturing deviations in Master Control.
โ€ข Conduct Equipment Maintenance.
โ€ข Diagnose problems and provide input to maintenance (primarily mechanical).
โ€ข Maintain safe & healthy work environment.
โ€ข Understand and follow established procedures to operate safely in an environmentally sound manner including emergencies, startup and shut down, and OSHA related issues.
