POSITION DESCRIPTION

Position: Materials Handler IV

Reports to Title: Warehouse Operations Manager

Department/Division: Inventory

Primary Work Location: Shakopee, MN

Work Schedule: Days: Monday – Friday (Weekends as needed)

• Shift: 2nd shift

• Hours: 8–10 hours per day

• Shift Start: This role requires a flexible schedule with a daily starting time of 4:15 PM.

• Shift End: Standard finish time is approximately 1:45 - 3:45 AM, though a degree of flexibility is required for occasional overtime to meet operational demands.

Position Overview

This position is in the Distribution area. The position is dedicated and responsible for the overall inventory accuracy for Shipping & Distribution NA. This position will ensure inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts of items to ensure we have what the customer and patient needs.

Essential Functions (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

• Provide work direction for team members relative to inventory accuracy

• Support inventory improvement programs

• Audit for inventory accuracy

• Present daily metrics to team at the daily tier meeting

• Communicate daily by email (pass down, rush emails, IT tickets, etc.)

• Support Warehouse Layout Planning

• Special Projects as required to include Annual Inventory Audit Planning and Execution

Competencies (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position)

• Read, Write, and Speak English

• Knowledge of Inventory management best practices

Desired Qualifications

Required Education :

• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Education:

• Technical/bachelor’s degree

Preferred Experience:

• Inventory Management experience

• Shipping/Warehouse/Distribution experience

• WMS experience

• Proficient with MS Office Excel

• Automated picking experience (picking and adjustments with scan-based technology)

Physical Demands: Able to stand or sit for long periods of time. Able to lift 25 pounds by self and 50+ pounds with a team lift (i.e. sitting, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, etc)

Compensation: Depending on your work location, the target hourly rate for this the target hourly rate for this position ranges from $21.00 – $25.50 , plus an additional $1.50 shift differential for applicable shifts. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
