About the job
The Dryer Operator supports production by operating drying equipment, moving product through
the production process, and ensuring a continuous flow of materials while maintaining food safety
and quality standards.
We're looking for someone who
● Holds a high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
● Has experience working in a manufacturing, food production, or industrial environment
(preferred)
● Is able to operate production equipment and follow established operating procedures
● Can safely lift, move, and handle barrels of product throughout the shift
● Demonstrates strong attention to detail and follows quality standards
● Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, cold, and wet production environment
● Communicates effectively and works well as part of a team
● Is committed to food safety, GMP, machine safety, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
● Is willing to perform a variety of production tasks as operational needs change
● Is available to work overtime, nights, weekends, and seasonal schedules as needed
● Is willing to travel seasonally between San Juan Bautista, CA and Yuma, AZ
What you'll do
● Operate production dryers to support efficient product flow
● Fill, transport, and load barrels of product into drying equipment
● Monitor and manage drying cycles according to production requirements
● Safely lift and dump product using hoists or team lifting techniques as needed
● Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas around production equipment
● Monitor equipment performance and report safety or mechanical concerns promptly
● Follow food safety, GMP, machine guarding, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
● Support additional heavy labor tasks including supplying production lines, moving
materials, and assisting other production areas
● Work collaboratively with production, quality, and maintenance teams to maintain efficient operations
