Job description

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $40hr - $45hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED, along with 6+ years experience working in a software test environment. AS or BS degree in a scientific discipline is a plus.
  • Proficient in using Linux OS, including navigating the file system, managing processes, and executing shell commands via the terminal.
  • Ability to read and effectively navigate through technical documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Quick learner who takes direction well and shows initiative.
  • Team player who values shared responsibility and celebrates shared successes.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute processes and procedures, test methods, and fixtures for clinical simulation utilizing clinical and engineering knowledge.
  • Execute test protocols for clinically-based surgical simulation, automated testing, and functional verification.
  • Generate test plans, protocols, and reports with guidance from appropriate engineering teams.
  • Participate in the product development lifecycle, including the design review process. Review design documentation and UI prototypes to assess usability.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with software quality assurance testing methodologies.

Skills:

  • Responsible for learning the elements of the SW build process to effectively execute, monitor and troubleshoot as necessary.
  • Evaluates instrument designs using measurement devices and inspection tools.
  • Identifies, reproduces, and escalates new or persistent software or hardware related failure modes to management and appropriate Engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and documents all findings in the bug-tracking database.
  • Complete documentation of test protocols, results and reports.
