The Feed Mill Maintenance/Utility job is an entry-level position responsible for the maintenance and operations for the manufacturing of poultry feed.  This person will also have the knowledge to operate the batching system in the manufacturing of poultry feed.  They will also be accustomed to our inventory procedures and ingredient receiving.


Responsibilities
  • Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantles machines, moves machinery and equipment.
  • Required to be trained as a mill operator.
  • Assembles and installs equipment such as shafts, conveyors, and pelleting equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance work on all equipment.
  • Cleans, lubricates, and repairs shafts, bearings, and other parts of machinery.
  • Routinely will perform welding, adjustment, and component replacement of milling equipment.
  • Provide timely completion of all repairs.
  • Perform any inspections as required.
  • Keep accurate, organized records of work performed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

  • One to two years related experience and/or training is required for this position.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.
