Roof Technology Partners is looking to bring on an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator Apprentice to support our shop operations and produce high-quality architectural sheet metal components used in commercial roofing systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented craft professional who enjoys precision work, operating fabrication equipment, and contributing to projects that support field crews and customers.

You will work in our shop environment producing custom flashings, copings, edge metals, gutters, downspouts, and related components while collaborating with project managers and field teams to ensure materials are fabricated accurately and delivered on schedule.

Your Role
  • Fabricate architectural sheet metal components used in commercial roofing systems
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
  • Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment including brakes, shears, folders, roll formers, and seamers
  • Cut, bend, and form metal materials to precise dimensions and specifications
  • Produce components such as flashings, copings, edge metals, cap metal, gutters, downspouts, scuppers, and conductor heads
  • Work with materials including galvanized steel, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and pre-finished metals
  • Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements
  • Maintain production logs and track material usage when required
  • Coordinate with project managers and field teams regarding fabrication needs and timelines
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment following OSHA and company safety standards
  • Assist with inventory organization and material receiving when needed
What You Bring
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in commercial roofing or architectural sheet metal
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and construction blueprints
  • Experience operating common sheet metal shop equipment such as brakes, shears, and roll formers
  • Strong measurement, layout, and basic math skills
  • Familiarity working with various metal types and gauges
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Driver's license (preferred)
