JOB DESCRIPTION:

Clark Roofing Company is seeking an experienced Commercial Architectural Sheet Metal Worker to join our team. In this role you will fabricate, install, and finish architectural sheet metal systems on commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings across the Chicagoland area. You will work alongside our roofing crews and project teams to deliver precise, high-quality sheet metal work that meets the most demanding project specifications.


Responsibilities include:

• Fabricate, install, and repair architectural sheet metal components including copings, gutters, downspouts, flashings, fascias, soffits, gravel stops, expansion joints, and custom trim pieces

• Install sheet metal roofing systems including standing seam, batten seam, and flat seam applications

• Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications

• Perform precise layout, cutting, forming, and soldering of sheet metal materials

• Work with a variety of metals including galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and zinc

• Coordinate with roofing crews to ensure proper integration of sheet metal and roofing systems

• Identify and communicate field conditions, deficiencies, and coordination issues to the superintendent

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site at all times

• Assist in training and mentoring less experienced team members


QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of experience in commercial architectural sheet metal fabrication and installation

• Proficiency in fabricating and installing copings, flashings, gutters, downspouts, and custom sheet metal components

• Experience with standing seam, batten seam, or flat seam metal roofing systems is a plus

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication equipment

• Experience with soldering, seaming, and metal forming techniques

• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work at heights in various weather conditions

• Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Responsabilidades incluyen:

• Fabricar, instalar y reparar componentes arquitectónicos de lámina metálica incluyendo copetes, canaletas, bajantes, tapajuntas, fascias, plafones, parapetos, juntas de expansión y piezas de acabado personalizadas

• Instalar sistemas de techado de lámina metálica incluyendo paneles de costura alzada, costura de listel y costura plana

• Leer e interpretar planos arquitectónicos, planos de taller y especificaciones del proyecto

• Realizar trazado preciso, corte, formado y soldadura de materiales de lámina metálica

• Trabajar con una variedad de metales incluyendo acero galvanizado, acero inoxidable, aluminio, cobre y zinc

• Coordinar con las cuadrillas de techado para asegurar la correcta integración de los sistemas de lámina metálica y techado

• Identificar y comunicar condiciones en campo, deficiencias y problemas de coordinación al superintendente
