Responsibilities
Load Planner - Nights
Onsite: Massillon, OH
Shift: Thursday - Monday 11pm - 7am
Your seat at the table:
The Load Planner must help facilitate movement of product within the warehouse and maintain constant communication with all respective sites and their manager. They must accomplish this in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Shearer's policies and procedures.
Please note that the following list is not exhaustive as duties and responsibilities are reviewed and revised at management's discretion.
  • Communication between warehouse team at respective sites, inventory team (as needed), operators and floor supervisors through use of networked radios.
  • Assign workflow for warehouse loaders to pull product and complete scheduled shipments.
  • Communicate with outside drivers via phone or electronic communications to resolve issues or door assignments and any loading related issues.
  • Complete daily yard audits of sites to ensure correct dispatching of completed loads from Shearers operating system.
  • Research loads with product shortage and communicate to Transportation and Customer service of any shorted shipments.
  • Prioritize loads based off scheduled appointments to ensure trucks leave each facility with product in a timely manner.
  • Ensure paperwork is signed, trailer sealed, and load is closed out when truck is fully loaded.
  • Ensure CCI and Export paperwork is completed and issued to driver upon departure from sites.
  • Plan the unloading of shuttle trailers from plants with product for inventory purposes. (Stark Distribution Center)
  • Complete daily shift handoff to Load Planner and warehouse of shipped loads, issues and available labor at respective sites.

  • Detailed oriented individual with experience analyzing numbers quickly and responding decisively.
  • Ability to follow and adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Contribute to organizational and individual KPI metrics.
  • Flexibility to coordinate special projects, anticipate issues and take initiative to resolve them.
  • Flexible to work various shifts as needed to meet business needs.
