Medical Assistant
Department: Clinical Operations
Position Type: Full-Time (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: $24.00 / hour
Schedule: Clinic hours range between 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM PST
Location: On-Site
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, efficient, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining optimal clinic flow, delivering exceptional patient care, and supporting our healthcare providers in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume setting, possesses strong back-office clinical skills, and is committed to patient satisfaction and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Flow & Care Coordination
  • Efficiently room an average of 20-25 patients daily while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.
  • Initiate rooming procedures and record vital signs within 10 minutes of patient check-in to support seamless clinic flow.
  • Address clinical inquiries, process prescription refills, deliver lab results, and coordinate specialist referrals under provider direction.

Clinical Support & Procedures
  • Perform standard back-office clinical tasks, including taking vitals, documenting medical histories, administering injections/immunizations, and executing blood draws (phlebotomy).
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist physicians and mid-level providers with minor in-office procedures and patient setups.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (e.g., Epic, NextGen) for timely, precise, and compliant clinical documentation.

Qualifications
Required Experience & Certification
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on Medical Assistant experience (Primary Care, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine experience highly preferred).

Technical & Clinical Skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in core back-office clinical duties, including venipuncture, injections, EKGs, and routine vitals.
  • Proficient with EMR software navigation and standard clinical documentation protocols.
  • Track record of managing high-volume patient schedules efficiently without sacrificing care quality.
